Coming from a humble farming background, Sadiq Pasha was introduced to the realities of the world at a young age.
Born and brought up in Kaivara of Chickballapur district, he finished his early education in the small town.
Deeply inspired by agriculture, he pursued his studies in the same field at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.
Completing his Bachelor’s in Law (LLB) and Master’s in Plant Biotechnology, he was a first-generation student who dreamt to change the world, one step at a time.
Several state and national scholarships helped him pursue his education. This kindled Pasha to excel in academics and all extracurricular activities. His keenness let him dwell in the world of Genetic engineering and research on Pachouli DNA Transfer and Plant Propagation too.
Career
He joined the Prestigious Karnataka State Police, which is one of the best in the country as a Sub Inspector in the year 2003. He has worked in different districts of Karnataka serving the state and the people.
He has had the honor of training over 2000 recruits at the training center and was always a favorite among his students.
Whilst handling Chickaballapur & Kolar districts in an Independent capacity he has faced and won several nerve-cracking challenges such as caste conflicts, communal riots, and worker strikes.
With the new chapter as a Police Inspector in 2012, he served in the specialized wing of the Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement (DCRE) set up for the welfare of Scheduled Castes (SC) & Scheduled Tribe (ST)
Soon after his stint at DCRE, his time at Tilaknagar Police Station was a fruitful one with not even a single incident of communal riots. He has successfully nabbed interstate criminals & fraudsters. He has organized several activities to spread awareness and instill harmony among the people such as walkathons, marathons, plantation drives, summer camps for underprivileged kids & Youth awareness drives.
At the HAL Police Station which is a key sensitive zone concerning national security, he discharged his duties going beyond the call of duty and ensuring peace. While being posted at the same police station, he was successful in ensuring lifetime imprisonment for a convict in one of the gruesome murder cases investigated by him.
For his outstanding service, he was honored with the Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for Meritorious service in 2017.
As Inspector at Marathahalli police station, which is known as a tech hub, he has had a challenging time and has delivered under stress. A drug cartel has been apprehended and peddlers arrested and various Illegal immigrants detained. Know for his innovative approaches, he adopted unique techniques such as teaching Yoga to rowdies and anti-social elements for their betterment. He has also been honored by the IT industry with the Best Cop award for delivering speedy services. As an Investigative Officer (IO) of several rape and POCSO cases, he ensured justice for the victims.
During his tenure at Marathahahalli PS, he has been instrumental in deporting illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from Bengaluru.
As a Vigilance Officer in BESCOM, he registered several cases of power theft against various govt departments and industrialists and successfully recovered huge sums due to the government.
The next step in his career was the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), where he challenged various people in positions of power. In one of the cases investigated by him, a police officer was convicted by the court of law in a bribery case. Mr. Sadiq Pasha was widely recognized and appreciated for his commendable work. The Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka has also upheld the cases investigated by him.
He is currently posted in the Economic Offences Wing of the Central Crime Branch, Bengaluru where he has solved various cases of financial terrorism, Ponzi schemes & economic offenses.
Known for his integrity and leadership skills, Sadiq Pasha has had an illustrious career that has won him many accolades and appreciation from the Commissioner of Police, Senior IPS Officers, and dignitaries alike.
He is a firm believer that greatness comes from living with purpose and passion.
